Sustainability
We source our garments carefully
At Sahara Boston we care deeply about the environment and want to minimise any harmful effects as much as possible.
All our garments have been carefully sourced from selected suppliers for their high quality and are approved by and members of the Fair Wear Foundation, which ensures ethical trade and justice for workers. They are produced by sustainable manufacturing that minimises negative environmental impacts while conserving energy and natural resources. All raw materials are fully traceable, grown and produced in ways that do not harm people, animals or the environment.
Our Process
Respecting the environment and the world in which we live
After carefully selecting our garments, they are then individually screen printed by hand using high quality water based inks. No plastisol inks are used at all, and so no unnecessary chemicals are needed. All equipment can be cleaned with water. The inks are made permanent by going through a heat tunnel that reaches 250c. The prints can then be safely washed and ironed over, and the print lasts for as long as the garment lasts.
